Bob Lamb
Hi, I'm Bob Lamb and I'm running for the office of New Hampshire State Senate District 2.
About Bob Bob Lamb grew up in a working class family in Braintree, MA. His father was a proud World War II Navy veteran who worked for over 30 years as a member of an Electrical Union. His mother raised Bob, his two brothers and five sisters, and still found time to support her church, serve in town government, and volunteer for several charitable organizations. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (Class of 1977), Bob served our country for six years as an infantry officer in the United States Army in various line and staff positions, including Platoon Leader, Executive Officer and Acting Commander of a mechanized infantry company. He also taught in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership and served as Aide-de-Camp for two U. S. Army General Officers at West Point. Bob is a graduate of the Army’s Airborne and Ranger schools. After leaving the military, Bob joined Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) as a consultant in financial management, project planning and control, business development and contract administration. In 1986, Bob joined Fleet Financial Group (the predecessor firm of FleetBoston Financial). He spent the next 14 years in various senior level positions, beginning as a Subsidiary Controller and ending as Executive Vice President and Corporate Controller, responsible for the accounting and financial operations of this diversified financial services firm with significant international operations. In 2000, Bob joined KPMG Consulting Inc. (subsequently renamed BearingPoint, Inc.) as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for the financial management activities of this international consulting firm. In 2002, he was named one of the top 25 most influential consultants by Consulting Magazine. Bob rejoined FleetBoston in 2002 to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He was responsible for managing FleetBoston’s Corporate Accounting, Financial Management and Planning, Corporate Tax, and Investor Relations. At the time, FleetBoston was the seventh-largest bank holding company in the United States with assets of $200 Billion. Presently, Bob is Chairman of the Board and an Independent Director of Allied International Holdings, Inc., a privately held, specialty, property and casualty insurance holding company. Bob currently serves as Chairman of the Plymouth Area Democrats which represents voters in 18 towns in central New Hampshire. He also serves as an active Co-Chair of the annual Plymouth NH “Keep The Heat On!” Fuel Assistance Fundraiser. He is a Trustee and the Treasurer of the Chocorua Chapel Association and sits on the Investment Committee for the Squam Lakes Science Center in Holderness. He served as Secretary of the Board, Co-Chair of the Finance Committee, Executive Committee Member and Trustee of Boston College High School in Boston, MA from 2004 until 2010. He formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern New England Arthritis Foundation. He and his wife Maureen have been married for 34 years, live in Holderness NH and they have two grown daughters.
